I came upon this perfect sermon for the Moons’ Nodes shifting into Cancer / Capricorn…
… for this move toward our soft humanity (Cancer), while bringing wisdom and responsibility (Capricorn).
Words from Akasha Martin @nomadic_akasha
“I will bring light
to your darkest places.
I will penetrate
the deepest, most intimate
parts of you;
the hidden;
the elusive;
the abandoned.
My power to heal is potent
(this is true), but I am not
your source.
I will ooze softness onto hardened flesh;
nurturing;
suckling;
providing
gentle sustenance.
But it is you
who must navigate
your own darkness.
You must do the work.
You must tend to your own ascension
(I will not enable you.)”
These words (with accompanying photo) shook and resonated.
They remind me of the hardest challenges of the sacred Cancer work — to learn to soften in the face of all our wounds; namely the distortions of Capricorn, that will continue to surface with the South Node now present, with the shame and control of millennia of misguided leadership / elderhood.
It’s still Scorpio season, and Scorpio’s deep intimacy and truth is being called to a higher human awareness and flow now that the North Node has moved into Cancer for the next year and a half.
Wherever the North Node transits is where we are all being guided toward new lessons and soul-growth at this time here on Earth. For the collective evolution.
And I myself feel so comforted and liberated by the potentials of this shift… this long-needed pull toward the compassion and innocence of Cancer; described as the “missing medicine of our age”.
As is the way with the North Node, there’ll be challenges and soul-searching along the way, as our long-abandoned hearts beckon us to finally move in closer.
But in this Cancerian dissolving of Capricorns’ hardness, we must also bring integrate its * Grandmother * wisdom — for the accountability and responsibility necessary in the healing process… as Akasha writes: “You must tend to your own ascension (I will not enable you).”
